Counselling

I offer predominantly Person-Centred Therapeutic Counselling to young people from the age of 16 and adults. My training allows me to integrate other counselling modalities such as psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. This means that I can adapt how we work according to what you bring and what you want to achieve.

Person-Centred Counselling puts the client at the core of the work and adopts the premise that the client (you) is the expert of themselves. By sitting with you in your story, we can work together to figure out what got you here and how you would like to proceed. This can take just a few sessions or it may become long-term work. Clients often pause after a few sessions and return when they are ready for more. Counselling is hard work!

Ecotherapy

My passion is for the outdoors and the benefits of nature in healing and so I have also trained as an Ecotherapist, allowing me to take you on a walk to explore what is going on for you. I offer Ecotherapy from the beautiful Court Farm Lakes and at locations in the Forest of Dean.

During training I specialised in counselling for children and young people and my history as a Nutritionist has given me particular expertise in food, eating and behaviour change. I also have special interest in Addiction and Trauma.

Whatever you feel that you may need counselling to tackle, please do give me a call. We can organise a free 20-minute chat and explore whether we would be a good match.
